My gut tells me we won't get a section 31 story. A general movie audience would not know what section 31 is. Now, they could introduce the concept in the movie. I'm not saying it's impossible. But, my gut tells me no.

Well, if the Enterprise somehow gets involved in a Section 31 mission and they manage to capture an agent, then I'm guessing the E Crew will soon find out enough to explain who Section 31 are and don't forget Section 31 have a spy onboard the Enterprise in the form of Ensign SPYke.

Like I said, it's not impossible that they could go that way. It's just my gut feeling that they will chose not to. I could certainly be wrong. I'm no Q after all!

I think Section 31 is mostly too DS9 specific for a TOS film myself. But who knows.
