After many, many years of playing in the area, I finally had a chance to play at the legendary Toad's Place in New Haven, CT last Thursday with the band I've been with of late...
Toad's is one of those places like CBGB's, The Stone Pony, The Living Room and others where EVERYBODY that's big now played on the way up. The Red Hot Chili Peppers played there during their very first tour of the East Coast (I was there)...U2...Bruce...The Ramones...even The Rolling Stones did one of their "hit and run" appearances there prior to the Steel Wheels tour... Here's some video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUpHXX-l0Qc I'm on bass...my 15 year old shot the video with my camera, so apologies for the poor sound quality.

Thanks Captain...I started thinking back of shows I've been at there and who stood on the same spot I was on...I was coming up with the likes of DeeDee Ramone...Michael Steele of The Bangles...Marshall Crenshaw...Danny Miranda of Blue Oyster Cult...Dave Sharp of The Alarm...Ricky Byrd of Joan Jett & The Blackhearts...just to name a few...

That's pretty cool to know that you got a chance to play on the same stage as those big time acts. Good stuff. And from what I can tell through the bad audio quality of that clip, you guys sound pretty good!

I'm a classic rock singer down in New Orleans, LA. Mardi Gras (much as I hate it) was crazy. Before Hurricane Katrina, we used to have nights like Mardi Gras week every night, holiday or no. Now....not so much.
