Borg and Cybermen? They are the same thing!
Seriously, could be fun. Liked the little Trek nod about the "beam-me-up Star Trek teleport" from last season:

The Doctor: Just between you, me and Stormy—don’t want to frighten any punters. Someone’s been using the teleport below right here in the shop. Missing people last seen here in this area. Before you ask: CCTV’s been wiped.
Craig: But teleport? A big— A teleport? Like a “beam-me-up” teleport like you see in Star Trek?
The Doctor: Exactly! Someone’s been using a beam-me-up Star Trek teleport. Could be disguised as anything.

Well... *Dons Self-Important Cap of Superiority* The Borg are merely a shade of the Cybermen.

*Takes off cap*

Really they are quite different in their approach, despite similar goals and the-Borg-stole-our-catchphrase-thing. (This is just a fun aside, however, as I don't bother about it, I just like making Star Trek feel inferior. )

I do like the way Doctor Who fits appropriate Star Trek mentions into the show.

I cannot wait for this comic. And I don't even read comics!!!!!!!

Almost my favourite Doctor*; on my favourite bridge; with my favourite captain. Ahhh, I wish they were making it on TV... Doctor Who could do it despite the difficulties of having already established Star Trek as fiction(wibbly-wobbly and all that). I'm not sure that a Star Trek show would be flexible enough.

I'd settle for a current-iteration Star Trek/Doctor Who movie just as easily.

*I don't really have a favourite Doctor as such, but if pressed I cite Doctors 2,7 and 11 as my favourites.

You know I've never watched an episode of Dr Who? Just never got around to it.

It's almost a burn at the stake offence since I'm from the UK - but neither have I. I've tried many times and I simply can't get into it.

I've let it go now.

They show it here on BBC America, it's got a cult following here.

Yeah, I just figure it has enough followers of it's own that it doesn't need one more anyway.
