I liked "Batman Begins" as well. It takes the franchise back to the dark style of the Burton films but adds more grit and realism to it. I loved the explanations in "Batman Begins" for where Batman gets his car, suit, technology etc...from

"Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin" are just terrible.

The old TV show was crap camp rubbish.
Agree with everything here.

I hope "The Dark Knight" strengtens the franchise. The Batman should never be camp, colorful or light. This is a guy with deeply rooted issues. "Batman Begins" was the scariest of the series. And, Batman SHOULD be scary. This is a guy you never want to meet in a dark alley.

A quote from "Batman Begins" nails it: "You must become more than just a man in the mind of your opponent."

Here's my list of favorites to least favorites:

--Batman: The Animated Series
--Batman (1989 film)
--Batman Returns
--Batman Forever
--The Batman (2004 animated)
--Batman Begins
--Batman: The Movie (1966)
--Batman and Robin
I never read many comics, when I was a kid, I liked the Burton Batman quite a bit, but to tell you the truth, Batman Begins is the best film of the character I've seen. Have no idea if it's anything like the original comic, but I liked it quite a bit and am looking forward to The Dark Knight!

I found batman forever worked because it decided to be camp not half dark and half camp as were the burton films. I prefer dark but the films need to be either or.

I don't like Burton's stylization either, every movie he does looks exactly the same. Depp looks almost the same in Sweeny Todd and he does in Edward Scissorhands and not much different to how he looks in any burton film.

I don't know how he gets to keep making films as it seems he has more misses than hits.

Batman Begins to me is the only serious version of Batman that has been done.

I love the DCAU cartoon Batman:The Animated Series (and other shows featuring the character) voiced by Kevin Conroy. He pretty much is my Batman.

I thought that the first Tim Burton movie was pretty decent and I enjoyed Batman Begins a few years back.

I like the 60's show when I was a small child, but I like my Batman dark. I liked Batman: Year One and The Long Halloween quite a bit. I'm fairly new to comics so I'm sure I'll discover things I like and don't like as I go.
