This is more interesting to me than what his sexual orientation is. Glad things are moving forward.

While Leonard Nimoy’s Spock was more about mental fitness than physical stunts, Quinto said the new “Trek” franchise already has broken out of that mold.

There you have it, out of the mouth of Q. Looks as if folks like me who say all the time that the next movie will be another braindead action movie aren't totally lunatic.

Not very much there. From reading the entire article it seems he's alluding to the film having some action sequences. Not much of a great surprise there given the presence of actions scenes in most Trek films.

The formula established in the first must be repeated in the second. It's JJ's established style! Give them lots of action and the rest (plot holes etc) blurs into the background as the movie races along.

Well, its not as if plot holes arent uncommon in Trek so I'm personally going to have to discount that as a special newly J.J created problem.

I thought it meant he'd be showing some muscle.

Plot holes are rather uncommon in Trek.
Plot holes happen more often in film because of editing.
Since Trek is mostly series it doesn't really have that problem if stick to defintion which constrains plot holes to a single story and not continuity. That's why episodic Trek is harder to nitpick because for the purposes the writing penned the script...it works. Just don't ask them to fit what they wrote with what someone else wrote.

I guess that's the proper attitude, sit back, relax and enjoy the roller coaster ride.
Nothing against cotton candy but I prefer something more nourishing than a mere sugar rush. Trek is meant to be a proper meal that lasts a bit.

Oh… I agree with you Horatio… but, intelligent Trek is tough to digest these days and young audiences, like babies, need weened progressively away from the formula Hollywood serves up before they can taste the true delights of a proper meal.

I like that.
If I were to burn books the first ones I'd pick out besides everything Ayn Rand has ever written would be all the medical books that include the three words "attention deficit disorder". No need to invent fancy euphemisms for lazy&stupid MTV kid.
Stop buying pills and get the TV out of the kid's bedroom. Saves money twice and solves the problem. Talking about the monstrosities of modern TV, that sounds like a nice idea for reality TV: Dr.Horatio - Simple Works Best
