Not sure how old you are Zim and the only reason I mention that is because as an oldie myself the effects were state of the art for the time and yes if you compare them to today's they might not stack up. Everything in its own context I guess. But, if they were to remaster it with new effects (which I guess you are trying to do) then they would probably do the same as you and I would have to agree they could do with some updating while maintaining and honouring the original intent, maybe with better sound effects.

By the way, I hope my previous comment didn't come across as criticising you—that was not my attention.
