Default Words of "One or Man"

I have not seen this being discussed as a thread or within any, but the great line of "where no man has gone before" then changed in STXI to "no one" (to also reflect TNG change) showed that even though Star Trek was set in the future, the content and language of what was or was not exceptable in the times it was produced in,

What I want to know is when C. Pike states "Space the final frontier..." will he end with "where no man" to fit the canon or "where no one" to fit the times?

I'm pretty much 100% certain that if the movie brought back miniskirts, it'll also bring back the term "where no man has gone before."

Yes, becuase ENT explined that those words were first spoken by Chochrane. So it was a historical quote, nice cover up if I do say so.

If they turned it to 'one', then Kirk's log at the end of TUC will have no longer have any meaning... I hope it stays as 'man' in this movie.

TUC(k) as in the tummy tucks some of the cast need? I'd be very comfortable with the 'where no man has gone before' but given that the film is being shot now vs. 40years ago, I'd put money on the 'where no one has gone before' version.

I wish we could get over our offense at the use of ordinary words. There are obvious words that should never be used by anyone with a brain and a heart, words of hatred and dirisive insult, but "man" isn't one of them. It isn't something that we should be all hung up about.
