You know what! I bet this is a viral marketing attempt for the new "The Thing" movie!

Either that or its the Tunguska UFO. The part that flew off after it jettisoned its damaged warp core…which blew up of course.

Apparently the team that found the object is going to go back when warmer weather sets in to have another look at the object and the smaller ones near it.
