Default How much would you pay....

For a chance to get Zachary Quinto's autograph?

So dude is coming to Denver next month. He's charging $40 for his
autograph...That's more than Nichelle Nichols and Nana Visitor who's
also going to be here next month!

If he were the only Trek actor to be signing at this year's StarFest,
I'd pay it...But I'd much rather pay less for Nichols and Visitor's.

I did pay $40 last year to have Leonard Nimoy sign my photo, but it's
LEONARD NIMOY.

I'm sorry, but it's bad enough that I'm spending $30 just to get into the
damn StarFest, then more $$$ for Nichols and Visitor's autographs...
I'd rather get Adam Baldwin's autograph, he's a funny guy.

I'm not made of money. I wonder if these actors realize this.

I wouldn't pay that for Quinto's autograph, especially if Nichols and Visitor's autograph's are cheaper. I mean she is Uhura, she is Kira, there's alot of history behind each, especially with Uhura, I can't believe Quinto's would be more. Maybe he's confused and thinks he's going to a Heroes convention!

Yes exactly!
Even the boyfriend said, "Who is this guy? And why is he charging so much?"
I had to tell him TWICE that he's from some show called "Heroes" and that
he's going to be Spock in the new Star Trek movie.

Zero. I didn't even pay for Nimoy's autograph when he signed my copy of "I Am Spock" at a bookstore during a signing. I don't pay for autographs, thanks. I didn't pay for Michael Dorn's or Marina's or Walter's or anyone's. I hated it when they introduced that concept at the cons and I haven't gone since.

I know what you mean.
I didn't pay for Jeri Ryan's, or Alexander Siddig's, Andrew Robinson's, or the
others that I got years ago.
It's so lame that they suddenly started charging for autographs AND FOR
PICTURES WITH THEM, TOO!
They don't allow it anymore with the 'big stars'. You have to purchase a
photo ticket and get an almost professional picture taken with them.

I used to able to take pictures with the actors with my own camera and
that's how you made friends with the person in front of you, and the person
behind you in line...

Even the dealers have become rude and I'm starting to wonder if it's even
worth going anymore.

I would not pay for any persons autograph.

And Zachary is not famous enough to charge that much anyways.

However, it should just be a thrill to just see and meet him, or to be able to shake his hand.

I would be more excited to see Nana Visitor...

I've never been to a convention or comicon or anything like that. I didn't realize they charged for photographs being taken with them and I didn't think they charged all that often for autographs. I thought paying for autographs was like an autographed baseball or something like that. I mean if you're there, the person is there, then why in the world should you pay them? You surely have to pay a hefty fee to get into one of these things, shouldn't that cover it? I don't know how they could in good conscience charge you. If it were me I'd be embarrassed to charge for my autograph. If they show up and want it, sign away.

Buying some autographed photo or something like that, a collector's item, that's one thing, but paying an actor, director, whoever's there for an autograph, that just doesn't seem right to me. Especially when Quinto is charging more than two very much established star trek actors, one of them an original crew member.
