Oh my freaking gjord! Wait until I show you guys the hull pattern on the ship. It's not movie accurate, but it is derived from the motion picture hull plating. It REALLY makes this ship come alive, and I still haven't put on the other things like phaser banks, nav lighting, etc. Just the pattern and the specular touch I gave it already makes it look like a motion picture starship. Pics coming very soon!

Finally, here are some images with the hull patterning and lettering. Not movie perfect, but damn close.

I notice it might need a larger deflector diameter...

I think you're right. I'll see if I can widen the nav deflector dish.

Looks like it's coming along nicely.

Sorry took so long....hadda lotta singing to do today. (I love my job)

Hopefully, if these will upload, here are some more pics, this time with added lighting, and the enlarged deflector dish array. Also, a little touch of my own....I added on barrels to the phaser banks, which will make them look like the typical phaser emitters, but also looking more like small cannons. (Never really cared for the "nipple" type phasers.) But, when I do animations for this ship, trust me, it'll look good. )

Here's a shot of the phaser "cannons". If it helps, consider that part of the influence actually came from the type II hand phaser, in that the barrels terminate in the needle type emitter found on the type II hand phaser.

The nacelles are a bit too wide... I like your phaser cannons!
