We have designers working on the Enterprise and what could change.

Yesterday I was at a meeting with me and Alex [Kurtzman] and JJ and Damon Lindelof, looking at how the Enterprise might change.

I don't think that there will be major changes to the exterior design… that would be bloody stupid at this point… engineering, maybe…

I don't think it matters, the public isn't going to know the difference either way. Only the fans pay attention to that kinda thing. But I would endorse changing that design in order to make it sellable as a cool artifact for the movie.

Update:

Perhaps i should clarify. We will see new sections of the Enterprise, not necessarily redesigning, though.

Pseudonews, it's not like you couldn't tell without Orci's words that the interior designs will change (not to mention that the fellow obviously lacks a skill which you'd expect from a professional writer, to express himself clearly).

This is the only problem with the film being so far off........................there's going to be months and months of essentially inconsequential releases of hints and moments.

Much like 'The Hobbit' info drops online are already getting old and tiresome (for anyone not counting down seconds that is). The next one will be 'The Dark Knight Rises' for the next year.

I wonder which areas we may see of the ship in the future though.

Probably whatever is necessary to the plot-line and I'm betting we'll see the recreational area, board room and sick bay (more closely).

Was a pity they blew up the sickbay set in the last film, it looked like a really great set in the brief views it was given pre attack.
