Wow. So Patrick was like 59-60 when he did X-men, and 47 when he did the first season of TNG? I thought he must have been in his mid-fifties when he started on TNG. I thought he must be 80 by now. I was surprised that he seems to keep on going year after year. 71, that makes him only a few years younger than Shatner, and less than a decade younger than Nimoy. They continue to act, maybe so will he.

I know, seriously. When that happens I always go back to that quote that Picard says at the end of Generations.

"I see time, as a companion, that goes with us on the journey. Because it will never come again. After all Number One, we're only mortal."

There's a line in the voiceover of the film version of 'The Lovely Bones' that Saiorse Ronan narrates that I always liked in that vein. There's a part at the end where she tells the viewer -

"My name is Salmon, like the fish; first name Susie. I was 14 years old when I was murdered on December 6, 1973. I was here for a moment and then I was gone. I wish you all a long and happy life."

Ever since I heard it I just like that bolded (by me) line.
