I've got a copy of the regular TOS DVD sets for all three seasons and I covet the remastered version.
Has anyone seen the remastered ones? What do you think about them? Are they worth me spending the cash to buy if I have the regular ones already?

I have season one of the remastered TOS. I consider the regular TOS episodes unwatchable. I grew up in the 80s, so good fx are a must for me. I think it is a personal choice. If you want to see remastered episodes of TOS free, check out Star trek.com, CBs.com, or Netflix.

I have to confess, I rather dropped the original episodes in favour of the remastered versions like hot potatoes as soon as I saw the results.
Unceremonious, I know - but they are just so well and (I think) respectfully done re the new effects there was no going back and I knew it. I'd say they were well worth it. But I'd agree with Chator, that it's a personal choice. I know a lot of people stand by the originals as well.
