Default Name the new Multi-Purpose Space Ship

Personally, I see a need for more than one vehicle, so why not go with "Phoenix-Class" (nod to the first warp-drive ship) and name the first craft "Enterprise". It's a reach I realize, but it would be a great nod to finally getting back to manned exploration of the planetary system. Just a thought.

Seems like a step backwards to the Apollo days with this new design. They should be redesigning the shuttle to transport men and equipment to the men and get a permanent base up and running as soon as possible, only when they have that should they think about sending men to Mars.

This is more cost effective once it's up and running. It's the right way to go IMO. I do think that a base on the moon should be the next goal as a base on the moon would be a great launching point for missions into the deeper solar system in the following years.

That's the sad part… it shouldn't really boil down to dollars and cents… we should should be pulling out all stops to get off this planet and colonise the moon… to safeguard our existence in the Comos!

Best not to have all your eggs in one basket. Spread em around here and there. If we had colonies on the Moon and Mars and Earth got hit by an asteroid and totally blitzed… our species would survive and after a number of years be able to return to the Earth and start again. As it is now, we're on borrowed time, pure and simple.
