I seem to have the opposite experience (except for the babes, of course). As I get older, I prefer the older Bond films. Particularly anything with Sean Connery. While I am a huge Connery fan, I have to say that the Bond that was the most true to Ian Fleming's vision was Roger Moore. I remember when I read the first book (after watching all of the movies up until 1983 Octopussy), I was really struck by how much Roger Moore was the guy in the book.

To this day, he is the Bond of the books. I still personally consider Connery my favorite overall.

Zimmy, I too thought Lazenby did a nice job with his one-off. Alot of folks do not.

Love the scene on the beach where the girl runs off and he says "This never happened to the other guy!" or something similar. This is the only Bond movie I don't have in my collection.

Australia seems to produce a large number of actors and actresses for some reason.

I so want to move to Australia! Mostly because I want to drive a Ford Falcon FPV Boss 335!!!!! Those cars are BAD-A$$!!!!!!!!! But we can't get them over here in the States

My mom used to watch Remington Steele religiously, and also felt that Brosnan ought to be the next James Bond. Would that she lived to have seen her wish come true.

You'd have fun driving one of those across the Nullabor Plain, especially on the longest piece of straight tarred road we have which is 146.6 km (91 miles).

Totally agree. One of the best Bond movies IMO is From Russia With Love. Great spy flick and really set the formula for most Bond movies afterwards, even more so than Dr. No. Another great, much later Bond movie was Goldeneye. Always liked that one. A great way to reboot the franchise after Dalton and Brosnan was a great Bond, still had a few movies left in him I think. Only problem is after Goldeneye the Brosnan movies became more a more cheesy.

I like Craig, thought Casino was another great way to reboot the franchise but what followed just didn't do it for me. Wasn't too big a fan of Quantum, hoping the next will be better.
