TMP-era Fan Series'
Hey guys,
Does anyone know if there is already a fan series based in or around the time of the classic movie series? I'm curious, because I have plans to make a fan series that takes place in the time between TOS' third season and TMP. It would feature a prototype ship for the refit-Enterprise engines and computer systems, with an all-new crew. Plus, it would bring back a lot of the classic 70's trek concepts, and maybe even some of the Franz Joseph ships! But I wanted to make sure that area was unexplored, since I don't want my series to be considered "unimaginative". So, does anyone think this would be a good idea?

Star TRe-New Voyages has become Star Trek-Phase II. It is a fan effort to try to create what would have been the 70's tv revival of TOS, which got made into TMP.

In the books, the "Star Trek: New Earth" series takes place sometime after TMP but years prior to STII:TWOK.
