Of course, which is why I can say without blanching that Star Trek for me was a good movie. A very good one in the relative scheme of the new fad for origin films as part of a reboot.
I can say the same about TUC (that it's good) on a basic level because it's even though it's lower down my ranking I can say that it's well enough put together and has some great moments, but sure they have different reasons for being good. Because TUC isn't an origins film. Neither are TWOK or FC. Which are also good movies, but again for different reasons of their own and my own. *I'm not getting into the nitty gritty of the specific reasons for all of the above because that isn't the point of my post.

I remember them, you and Sam pointed them out some time ago, and despite preferring the former to the latter I totally agree that TUC isn't as good as TWOK.

SYFY was just showing TUC. I still enjoy that one, except for the part where Kirk fights the shapeshifting copy of himself. That part really irritates me

Nobody but Shatner could have pulled it off that well.
 I still think that however renamed the sci-fi channel should be vaporized or send to a Klingon gulag.

I saw a commercial on there for a cooking show yesterday, I fail to see what connection that has to science fiction. They also have pro wrestling. I'm all for the Klingon gulag proposal.

I think the next one won't deviate much from XI, but I'm really hoping for an entirely new threat for the Enterprise crew (and perhaps Klingons) to face.

I don't know why, but I've never been excited by the thought of Klingons in the sequel.................
