Default Women and Starships

You let Troi take the helm. She crashes the Enterprise into a planet. Then you let her get behind the helm again... Head on collision.

You give Janeway a starship. She takes it around the block, and now she gets lost.

It's like male and female drivers. Men always joke about women drivers and yet men cause 80+% of accidents and almost all serious accidents. I think if you add up all the incidents in Trek, men have traditionally caused far more chaos than women.

That said, the Troi thing is hilarious. I mean, it can't be easy to crash a ship into a planet! I suspect it was because her application to redecorate her quarters was turned down. You go girl.

Chakotay got his ship lost in the Delta quadrant as well so can't really have a go at Janeway for that. Ro Laren didn't do a bad job as helmsman.

I think it's just Troi who needs help!

Troi ain't much of a good luck charm that's for sure.............

...........then again Captain LaForge also vanished with her ship, Lisa Cusack lost her ship as well (weird time loopiness aside) and even in TVH, the very first female starship Captain ever seen has her ship rendered useless by the probe!!!!!

Interesting.............

Lol, all true and good points. But am sure we could come up with several examples of male Captains getting their ships into trouble.

Don't forget Captain Rachel Garrett. She fell through a rift in time and not only got the Enterprise C blowed up, she inadvertently caused that whole paradox-like thing with Yar's Romulan daughter.

Women and Admirals...................just not cut out for starship parking!

(and you'd think they have the sensors to help them as well!

It looked pretty easy, and unavoidable, from where I was watching.
