Well, like I said, there are indeed times when the score you need is...........no score at all.
Out of the movies, yeah, I think the FC score (and main theme) is probably the more memorable, most of the rest of the TNG scores never really lingered, and there's lots of good and varied pieces and sounds throughout the TOS films. Not that I'm that big on TUC as a whole film, but Eidelman's score was one of the finer contributions to that film because it was different, as was Rosenman's work in TVH.

Yeah, didn't happen anytime before in Trek that the 20th century appeared so dominantly. Tom Paris didn't like old cars and the DS9 crew didn't like Vic Fontaine.
Corvette and Beastie Boys are just another version of that. |
