One of my Christmas gifts consisted of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II for PlayStation 3, and I have to say that I am enjoying it. Now, of course I don't think it's the best game around by far, but it is fun. You are basically this Sith apprentice betrayed by Lord Vader and it's up to you to escape his clutches with your skills. Taking place between III and IV, it is giving some interesting back story to the length between movies and what exactly is going on during the growth of the Rebel Alliance. I haven't played the first one, but I might have to after getting started with this one.



Star Wars games as a whole, were never my favorite. Do you guys remember Super Star Wars for Super Nintendo? Man, that was tough! But one of my favorite Star Wars games are both for the N64 back in the day: Rouge Squadron and Episode I Racer. Classic games! If only my N64 still worked...but anyway, back to The Force II, it's pretty good sofar. Now, I have to be honest...this game is in no way as good as Red Dead or Arkham Asylum, but I am going to continue playing and see if my opinion changes over time...which if it will, I will still not find it superior to those aforementioned games.

I agree. It's a fun game, but not a great game.
The likeness and voice of Sam Witwer was used for Starkiller. Witwer was Crashdown on the new Battlestar Galactica series, and also played in the movie "The Mist".
The voice of Darth Vader was done by the actor who gives voice to "Chad Vader: Night Manager" on that popular YouTube series.

In the original game, Witwer was also the voice of Emperor Palpatine.

I love Chad Vader haha! Oh, and during the beginning cut scene of the game, I thought they actually lured Jones back for a voice over of Darth, but I figured...naw...not for a video game. lol

I also got this game for Christmas. I just beat it on easy last night. I enjoyed it. I also loved the first one. I do have some pros and cons about the new one.

Cons:
To short. I should of not have beat it so quick, even on easy mode.
Can't skip cinematics.
No map of terrain.
No choice of single Saber, duel, or double edge. You only have duel.
Pros:
Force upgrade is simpler. No need to buy each move. Just the skill.
Starting with better attack moves. Its not long till you have saber throw.
Mind Trick.
Force Fury. Its like the force with rabies.
Skills transfer over after you beat the game. Unlike the first one when you beat the game and you start over a difficulty higher, you'd have to relearn all the skills unless you started over with the same difficulty.

Oh, I see. Well, I'm sure it's not all that different, just with the controls and all. Right now, I'm getting pretty far in the game. It was a little hard for me to jump over that first large gap on Kamino. It took a few tries but I finally made it, haha!

I hate the stage before the end where you have to climb high and jump from moving platforms on the return to Kamino stage before you fight Vader.

Yeah, that part is pretty annoying. Ugh...any tips on how to beat Vader?
