Actually I have seen both in a car musueum in Tennesee (They were both one of the shooting models.)

Of the two? I would go with KITT.

You could also add to that list:

Herbie ("The Love Bug" movie series)

The Mach 5 ("Speed Racer")

The General Lee ("The Dukes Of Hazzard")

EDIT: Just realized, all but the BTTF DeLorean have been subject to recent remakes/reboots...

How can the new Knight Rider KITT be more famous than the original. I highly doubt that is accurate. And Back to the Future was a motion picture released world wide. Can an American TV show really compete with that?

The General Lee is from the TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. It's an orange Dodge Charger with a confederate flag painted on the roof and doors that are welded shut like a stock car.

I forgot all about the GL! Seems that I remember watching that show and a car was part of the mystique!

Of course I only watched it because of Daisy Duke! Forget the car!
