Yep, I thought he did a horrible job in Episode II, but by Episode III he must have had a better grasp of the character or perhaps more acting lessons?

I didn't mind the Jabba scene in A New Hope, but everything else really didn't add anything to it.

I DETEST that crappy song in the redone RotJ! What an abomination! The original song and entire sequence was FAR superior!

However, as much as people complain about George's ego, I think James Cameron's ego is even bigger and that he's much more of an @$$hole.

Although interestingly enough, Mark Hamill says he never filmed that scene. Shenanigans?

That looked more Set lighting and face profile) like the "Emperor", especially with the cloak! I thought it might be a play on the potential for Luke to be seduced by the dark side and become the "new" Emperor. That thought could be seen in 20/20 hindsight after so many years.

Could have been shot with a double or stand in.

Well, do you mean it wasn't Hamill? It was clearly meant to be Luke..............

How ever you want to put it but I see no similarity between Luke and who ever was in that shot. I thought it was the Emperor at first.

Yes, misdirection at first - but obviously the reveal of C-3PO tells us it can't be.
