Cool

In news from Trek Today reposted at startrek.com, filming is supposed to start in January 2011 for ST:XII, which means a first draft script should probably be in by September or October.

Bruce Greenwood is hoping to be on hand again to play Admiral Pike.

And yet (annoyingly) on Rope of Silicon again others are disputing that. Although Greenwood mentioned that in an interview what may be truer is that preproduction is meant to begin in January, but that doesn't involve the actors at that stage.

Of course, I don't know what the shooting schedule is for Super 8 and how thus possible directing duties would fit into Abrams timetable.

Should he return to the director's chair.
