It's also the second Trek of the decade.

But I do agree that Trek is hands-down the best rebook of the 00' decade. And one of the most original of all time.

Just think. There were 4 movies during the 80s with the original crew, 4 in the 90s with two of them with original crew and just 2 in this decade. We need to pick up steam in the next decade with the new crew.

Star Trek deserves this honor more so than Batman Begins and Casino Royale. I hope it dominates the next decade with the new film franchise.

With the Harry Potter movie series (which I absolutely love) getting ready to wind down with its two-part "Deathly Hallows" movie, you may be right.

Then again.....there is the Twilight saga to consider. (yikes)

Maybe "Batman Begins" was the better movie. But rebooting Batman was immense easier. So I think it's fair to give the title to Trek, because it achieved much more.
