Default Will we see Kirk (Pine)give his first Captains Log?

I think it should be a memorable scene when he gives his first Captains Log. I think it should be the most iconic part of the movie when he takes command of the Enterprise. Do you agree?

Yes, that would be pretty cool, if they do it.
I wonder if they would have him record it into a tricorder as early in the series, or from a button on the captains chair.

It should be like Sisko's first captains log IMO. Professional, to the point and without any fuss.

I doubt very seriously whether we will. It's already been stated by a certain actor in the film what the last scene in the film will be (look at spoilers if you want to know what it is), and it seems to me that that scene is prior to Kirk making an entry into his log. If we do see it, I predict it will be the very last thing we see. And if we do, it will probably be the intro to TOS. I.E.: Space, the final frontier, these are the voyages........etc., etc..

My opinion, although has already been confirmed to be otherwise: To have Kirk recording the log at the end is just too cliche! Look at the (IMHO) disastrous ending of "These are the voyages..." To end a movie with a log is taking the short-cut to properly end something.

But still, it will be a momentous occasion. What was Kirk's last Captain's Log, by the way?
