Yeah, MGM has some financial issues so Eon Productions said that until it clears itself up, Bond 23 will be put on hold until then. I also hear that Sam Worthington is a candidate for 007 if Craig decides to step down depending on how long the hiatus will take.

Sam Worthington would also make a great Batman if Bale ever steps aside.

Yeah, Worthington would not be a positive step. I think it's more the financing rather than Craig which is getting in the way of Bond 23.

He's going to have to work on being less bland and demonstrate some actual personality and presence that makes him stand out.
His three box-office hits in a row don't really belong to his presence in them, and he's not yet able to stand out from the crowd so far, I find.

I'm not sure what his third film is, but I will say that I think he stood out a lot more in Avatar than he did in Terminator Salvation.

Clash of the Titans.
Avatar is the best of the bunch personally in terms of his work I believe. But none of them at this point make me believe he'd be a suitable replacement for the franchises mentioned. That said a good director can often draw good performances out of actors so nothing is impossible, certainly.

Bond is really a Cold War Hero, i know they tried to turn him into an anti-international terrorist operative in the new Bond films, but do we really need more of this endless re-invention of a character that has lost his relevance for our times?
