Thanks Tim - but no thanks. I'll hope that's just an unfounded rumour myself.

Can't imagine there would be any demand for it...much less a reason to make it in the first place.
I'd probably go see it anyway. lol

Jeri Ryan is on record stating recently that she isn't interested. Why would Paramount get behind it when they have a potential cash cow with the sequel to Star Trek 2009?

I really doubt that they would or already have.

I agree. It makes no sense from a business standpoint.
Unless it's direct to video. That would also solve the issue of which studio gets to make it. What could you do with Voyager anyway? The show resolved its premise during its final 30 seconds (though I never understood how... wasn't there some bogus technobabble reason stated just 15 seconds earlier why could not return home?). You would be left with just a typical Star Trek adventure minus the Enterprise. |

I would have thought it would have to be a TV movie anyway what with this whole Paramount/CBS split ownership thingygumyjig.
But yep, since the whole show was resolved (I won't go as far as to say satisfactorily) broadly there seems little direction for it to go in. As to the 'could they/couldn't they' - not sure, I doubt I was paying very close attention anyway by that point. By the time I was watching the finale it was more out of an odd sense of duty (I'd watched everything else) rather than actual viewing pleasure. Unless they have to go - Back to the Delta Quadrant!!!

Perhaps they could make a straight-to-DVD film like Stargate has recently done, though without Seven on board I doubt it'd be that great.
As for plot maybe they retcon and say Endgame never happened... |
