After mucho mucho rumour 24 has been canned and will end with season 8. I have to say, that although I used to love 24 (particularly the first three seasons and to an extent the fourth) I really drifted away after watching Day 5 because it was starting to get just too stupid - obviously it was pretty far-fetched from Day 1 anyway, but eventually it just went through the same motions too many times. I think it's time it ended now while it has mostly fond memories attached to it - and there's always the possibility of a film version.

I'm not really all that sad about this. I only watched one full season of it (Day 6, I think it was). From what I've seen of the earlier seasons, they seemed a lot more entertaining.

This is my third favorite television series. I have yet to see an episode of Season 8....will get it on DVD.
I loved this show. Yeah, it's got a few far-fetched moments, but it's still riveting. Good bye, 24. You had a great run. My first two fave series are M*A*S*H* and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Nah, even though I'm one of those pesky Liberals myself they didn't make me cringe - they just made me go 'Oh, that old chestnut again? Can't Jack come up with anything new?'
 But does anyone else seem suprised at just how insecure CTU proved to be over the years? I mean, I've lost count of the amount of times a mole/double agent got into the place, or it got bombed or attacked. The place couldn't even keep itself safe!

Seems like it was time for it to end. It had a great run but it started slacking near the end.

All goods things come to an end..8 years is a looong time for a tv show,it had it some great moments and some really bad moments, i will miss it but as least we can watched all the episodes on dvds
