At this increasingly late stage before production kicks off I still can't see how it could be anyone except Abrams though.

I hope it's JJ. I liked his visual approach to the film. I know some didn't, but I did.

Same here, there was nothing wrong with the visuals for me, or the direction (yes, I'm aware there are objections on all of that from some, that's not really got much to do with my personal opinion though).

I suspect we'll get the announcement about JJ being the director before the Con. At the Con itself, we might only get a poster like in 2006. Perhaps, a cast appearance?
