Cool

I wonder if one of the old admins snuck in to check on things...or maybe with the new boards at startrek.com not working correctly, someone wanted to see how these were doing?

Well here it is...the 29th of July and this forum is still here with several "long-time-no-posting" members actually back to posting!

Personally I'm amazed that CBS/Paramount choose to abandon this site in favour of the infinitely inferior "StarTrek.COM" which is now a shadow of its former self.

Has there been a mass exodus there? I visited when they updated the site...and was very unimpressed. Haven't been back to their boards since.

I visited the 'new' one once and that was it.

Of course I was under the impression that only Paramount could use this site, and since they and CBS are no longer together that was why they rejigged the previous StarTrek.com site.

At least, that was how it was spun.

Speaking of Paramount using this site, when do you think everything's gonna be retooled for the sequel? I would hope that things would start rolling this summer a bit.

Let's see - this site was created about a year before the film's originally scheduled release date (January 2008 for December 2008) so I suppose we probably shouldn't expect either a new site or a rebuild of this one and the return of moderators until about June 2011 if the sequel remains on track for a June 29th 2012 release.

Pure speculation though.

That seems logical
