In ST6 where do the Excelsior's photon torpedo's originate from? - when it fires on the BoP at the end it should be visible.
Though I have to say I always assumed them to be forward photon torpedo launchers as well.

They were from the two ports below the neck on the port and starboard sides. You can see one on the Enterprise B pic just forward of the star fleet logo.

It's just like the model of the Romulan Bird of Prey. I was very saddened to read that the fate of that model is not known, assuming it still exists. I'm actually quite fond of that ship, and the AMT model kits of that ship were most disappointing, even more so than the AMT kits of the Enterprise.

So true.
The BOP was the most distinctive enemy ship in sci fi....may the star destroyer was more. I just watched Generations on BBC america and I do see a worker be coming out of the openings in the Neck.

Yeah I think I noticed that too. Now that I think about it, I wonder if it's also kind of an airlock to support EVA operations kind of like the ones on the ventral side of the Constitution class saucer in TMP.

Yeah. That means those are fairly large openings.
You know I think I've notice too that the Neck on other models is less detailed with the heat sink style division in the segments.

Well the Constitution class was extremely vunerable in the neck. The Warp Core traveled right through it and it wasn't well insulated. On the Excelsior the Core traveles through the neck too (last time I checked) so it may be a stiffer armor and combination heat sink.
