Default question about sickbay forcefield

I was watching "meld" the other day and I noticed that the docter can move through a forcefield.

I can understand that because he is a hologram but..

in a different scene he was holding a padd and it went right through too, how is that possible?

The forcefield would have repelled the padd would it not?

I imagine it could be possible that the doctor has a holographic pad at his disposal?

I thought about that but it did not seem plausible, why a holographig padd? I mean everything else was "real" only the doctor was holographic.

Still it is possible

Well for starters it would help him get through forcefields more easily. And in any case there would have to be a program for a holographic padd in the computer anyway, why wouldn't he use it?

why would there be a programm for a holgraphic padd in the database, never heard that before,
I understand why it would be easy but why? Won't it be inconvenient? like anyone taking the padd, walking out of sickbay and *zapp* no more padd, no more data

very bad

Well for starters, the EMH was a very sophisticated program. It's bound to come with tools for the doctor to use. And the holodeck has practically everything, so one has to assume that the computer already has a padd program.

And when the doctor does out of the sickbay (pre mobile emitter) then he goes Zapp too. Post mobile emitter the emitter could continue to project the padd. But I think it would make sense if you were going to be walking in and out of a forcefield projected area to use a holographic padd.

okay I agree on the Holodeck they have almost everything, but it had to be transferd (also possible.

But there was never any mentio of it,

it would mean that everytime they turn the doctor of padd and hyposprays could also disappear. Not very convenient wen there are others working with them, there was no difference btweeen holo en real padd's

In theory it is possible, just it was never mentioned, and it seems to take a lot of effort and time to work arround

Doctor is part of the ship's computer, so adjustments could be instanaious.
