Default To Walter and Julie

My most heartfelt condolences to you both. I have seen firsthand what losing a son in this tragic manner can do to parents. In our case it brought the family together stronger than ever and I hope with all my heart it does the same for you.

Depression is a beast. I know from personal experience, helping someone close to me cope with it. It takes much prayer, patience, and medication on the behalf of the one suffering with it and the ones who care for the person.

I never knew Walter Koeing's son, Andrew (who played "Boner" on Growing Pains), but I can only imagine the suffering and pain he, his lovely wife, and the Koeing family are going through.

You are loved, Mr. Koeing, and the thoughts, well wishes, and prayers of hundreds of fans are with you and your family.

Once again, all my most sincere heartfelt condolences to you both, and to your entire family.

In our case, it was roughest on my mom, but she became the rock on which the family built our future. I remember she said to my father and me, after we lost my brother, after he jumped from that building, that ''afterwords he got right up off that street, perfectly unscathed, and said, 'well, that didn't work.' And God's voice behind him said, 'No, it didn't, did it?' and took him home.''

I only met you once years ago, Walter, very briefly in Toluca Lake as you were leaving the Koo Koo Roo chicken restaurant on Riverside Drive. I held the door open for you as you were walking out and I was walking in. As you passed, you smiled. Then I joked and said that I expected to meet you at the 31 Flavors ice cream because as a young impressionable kid I dreamed that Chekov and I were sitting and having ice cream sundae's in the Enterprise galley.

Now both events have so much more meaning to me.

God bless and Godspeed.
