This is a screen capture of a video test my dad and I did using a green screen effect to put my DST Enterprise-D into the nebula from "FIRST CONTACT".
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask!

Here, I reposted it below as an attachment. Tell me if it works now.

That is quite awesome. What software are you using?

I used Adobe After Effects. The ship is a Diamond Select Enterprise-D, and I used lime green poster board for the backdrop. I shot a five second video of the ship in front of the poster board, then imported the video into AE and replaced the green with the pic of the nebula. My current goal is to find a way to get my Art Asylum refit Enterprise into a green screen shot, without casting too many shadows. The Big D is much easier to film due to its aerodynamic shape, but I am working on a fan film set in the TMP era, so the Galaxy-class wouldn't work. A note if you want to try green screen tests, smaller models are ideal, because they cast less shadows. The Hot Wheels line of toys would be perfect scale.

I'm glad to see such positive comments. Considering this is my first ever green screen test, I was blown away. Now, if only I can figure out how to get the TMP Enterprise in there! With all the sharp angles, it casts a lot of shadows, and is damn near impossible to light sufficiently.
