If you loved Bill Shatner as Captain Kirk in the original series and movies or anything else he has done in his long career post your thoughts here

No, thanks - Appreciation threads should be nipped in the bud before they get to the ridiculous again.

Like last time.

I think having appreciation for somebody is cool and respectful what's wrong with showing it in the posts.

There's a difference between that and jumping on the resurgent 'appreciation thread' bandwagon (again) and flooding the place with them.

Once again, speaking for myself and no-one else - No thanks.

You asked if you got better.
Now you can have the answer. No.
You start all over again and again.

Forget those others who don't apprecate threads such as these.I actually like and enjoy them.I see nothing wrong with decateing a thread to an actor who played an amazing charcter in a show or movie. It gives a chance for fans to untite and discuss what they love about the charctor/actor they played,or just love the actor.Anyways since I made my ponit of view, time to get back to the topic.I actually loved Shatner as Kirk,I think he was absoutly amazing in the shows and movies. He just made Kirk who he is.And not metion back in TOS days Shatner did look pretty hot!

I'll say this- apart from after his first divorce, Shat never starved as a result of his acting. Yeah, he took anything and everything he could get his hands on but maybe that's why he's the least typecast of all the TOS players.

William Shatner has brought so much joy and happiness to my life. He played a huge role in making "Star Trek" so much more than just a fondly remembered old TV show. Because of his charisma and ability to maintain a lot of what made Captain Kirk even in middle age, the "Star Trek" movies were a huge success. Forget what Doohan, Takei and others have said. If it wasn't for Bill keeping himself in good shape and still looking youthful even into his early 60's, there would never have been a Star Trek 2-7.
If you think Bill isn't talented, just go to "You Tube" and put his name in with George Lucas's and you'll see an incredibly funny live tribute to Lucas done by Shatner as only Bill could pull off.
