Default Captain Jack flies into some Wisteria.....

http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/01/...ohn-barrowman/

Not sure if this would be the news Torchwood fans would all want to hear, or fans of the other show involved but hey, I saw it and thought I would put it out for any John Barrowman fans!

First the rumors of Torchwood developing a slightly more "American flavor" in the future and now Barrowman lands on Desperate Housewives.

You go, boy!

Torchwood started great with its first season, was okay but not brilliant in its second and the third Children of Earth season was just utter pants.

I kinda thought the progressive killing off of the entire cast seemed an interesting direction for the show to take.

I didn't like Chrildren of earth at all. I tried really hard because I love John Barrowman but I just couldn't make myself like it. I understand completely why many people thought it was excellent but I couldn't bring myself to like it. I love seasons 1 and 2 though.

I fell off Torchwood, but I love Barrowman. My wife and I are Desparate Housewives devotees so I love this idea. It'll be the only chance my wife will have to ever see him. The only thing that could make this better is if his role involves him singing.

OK, I'm obviously very middle aged - I saw "Wisteria" and thought this was a gardening thread.

That's minority view. The first season is the most criticised and third is the most popular.

Yeah I enjoyed the first season the most, was more interesting with Gwen hiding it all from her boyfriend and the stories did seem more imaginative than the second.

Children of Earth was good I thought till the end, points awarded for not going for a cop-out ending, but I was expecting a bit more.... umpth I guess for the solution, played out more like a weak Dr Who ending.

As for Barrowman on Desperate Housewives, I'm sure my mum will enjoy it.
