Default How to become a Trek 12 extra anyone?
So I would be absolutely tickled pink to be an extra on the next great Star Trek film. How does one go about getting a gig like that?

Dream come true...yes...so it's perfect that they are taking their time on this next one. It gives us time to see if something like that is actually feasible or not. I'd be happy to take a week +/- off of work to fly somewhere and do what I'm told just for the experience alone.

That would be cool, I wouldnt mind doing that. And also would'nt help to be Star Trek fan? At least there is nothing we wouldnt know when it comes to Star Trek.

I think that only applies for spoken parts. For instance, the Prince of Jordan appeared as an extra in a "Voyager" episode. However, since he wasn't part of the union he wasn't allowed a speaking part then.

Surprisingly it's not hard at all to be an extra (especially if you live near the area that production is taking place.) Just respond to an official casting agencies calls for extras, show up, and if you are who they are looking for they are in. Most of the cadets in the film were extras, there were even some Trek fans who post on some forums who even got in.
