Default Any J O U R N E Y fans in here?

I just bought their greatest hits album and I've got to say they are just out of this world. The first two songs that really stuck to me were of course their most well-known "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Anyway You Want It". But I heard this other song called "Ask the Lonely" and it just rocked! I love it!

I am sick and tired of "Don't Stop Believing". Everytime I go out to the bar, some jerk off plays that song. Its been like that every night since the season finale of the Soprano's. Enough already.

I never tire of 'Don't Stop Believing'!!

I really like them, but I'm not a massive die hard fan of them.

I also like 'Stone in Love', 'Be Good to Yourself', 'Lights', 'Wheel in the Sky' and (sometimes) 'Open Arms'.

No ending to a TV show has ever angered me the way The Soprano's ended. What a ripoff!\\

As to the original thread, I can kind of take or leave Journey. They're fine for classic radio station listening, but I don't ever play them on my own.

Steve Perry is one of my vocal influences, and Journey itself just kicked *** back in the day.

I confess though, especially because of the nature of my job (as a professional singer in New Orleans), that now when I hear a Journey song on the radio, I'm quick to turn it off.

Then again, that would mean I have to leave the radio off because the classic rock station plays practically our entire set list....and I'm still not conduced to listen to alt rock or grunge rock stations.

I'm not really a Journey fan (it was a bit before my time actually), but I've been increasingly aware that some Journey songs have crept into the soundtrack of my life when I wasn't looking.

Oddly enough, VH1 Classics had "Send Her My Love" on their Video On Demand service earlier this month. I don't remember listening to it as a kid, but I strangely enough knew the lyrics and the melody, so I must have heard it somewhere when I was little and it lodged itself permanantly in my brain.

Classic stuff...

Stone in Love was a great song. Back in my drinkin' days, my friend Kathy and I always played "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'" once we were drunk enough to sing along, loudly.

They're good. I like some of their stuff. Steve Perry's voice always stands out to me. That new guy they found is really amazing- sounds just like him.
