Question If they make an I Love Lucy movie...

If they make an I Love Lucy movie--which I'm sure they are considering--who would be the best choices to place Lucy and Ricky? I was thinking Kathy Griffin and Benicio del Torro.

I Love Lucy, TMP!!!

Well, I could go with Torro but Griffin, argh!

I don't know anyone who could play Lucy. Come to think of it I really don't know anyone who'd make a good Ricky, but Torro is an interesting choice. Who'd be Fred and Ethel?

An I Love Lucy movie! Never occurred to me. I'm down with that as long as they use lots of lens flares! And shoot it in 3D!

But seriously, the show, I believe, is owned totally by Lucy's children, Lucie Arnez Luckenbill (or however Mrs. Sybok spells their name) and Dezi Arnez, Jr. Or a corporation/foundation that they own or control. I can't even imagine that they would allow such a thing. I'd be surprised if they need the cash. Maybe in the future when they're gone...

Debra Messing for Lucy - she basically did similar style physical comedy on Will & Grace for seven years.

Ricky - not so sure about that.

Believe it or not, I recently saw Reba McIntyre playing Lucille Ball in a clip from a parody of the show and not only did she really look like her but she played her well too.

I'm not sure about Benicio Del Toro because he's better at very introspective roles.

I agree as well. Toro would be a little too deep for a role like that, yet he was the first guy that came to mind.
