The third one killed it for me.

It ruined the characters...
I always thought Spiderman was at his best when he was dealing with powers that far beyond his.

Mad'am Web,
Galactus
Dr. Strange

Spiderman was always great as a leader.
But these franchises are bleeding the characters of their spirit. They need to stop telling the same old story with new villains.

X-Men had it right with the first two movies and then the third one killed it too. Is there a pattern there Saq? Enjoy Iron Man 2, because the next one will probably suck...

Spiderman 4 is now officially dead and guess what...they're gonna reboot the series. Ugh. I honestly don't want to see the origin of Spiderman again, so they can count me out.

Spidey 3 wasn't very good, but I liked the first two. I see little point in rebooting it.

To be fair though, I know next to nothing about Spiderman comics, so I'm just going on the movies themselves.

I think it's going to begin with a young Peter Parker who is already Spider-man, but doesn't have any of the baggage from the first three films. Could be that we'll see characters overlooked in the original films such as Flash Thompson, Liz Allan, Betty Bryant, and Gwen Stacey.

Spidey 2 was the best of the first three.

I also enjoyed all three X-men films, and Wolverine: Xmen Origins.

I hope you're right. Anything but a rehash of what we've already seen.

I wonder if 'creative differences' is code for Sony baulking at the price tag for the film given the huge costs of Spidey 3.

Anyways, I guess this route could be cheaper for the studio to make.

Now, all we need is the announcement that Pirates 4 has been shelved as well and my day is complete!
