Livingston-

That is a great film. I would classify it more as a ghost sotry than a horror movie. The 1999 remake was horrid!!!

Ugh! My head hurts thinking of that remake! Yeah it is more of a ghost story, but very suspenseful and unsettling.

But a true horror classic is any of the Hammer Horror movies, or the original Texas Chainsaw...

(BTW-on a side note, "Trek" is done!)

Yeah, no kidding. Those are the classics, Peter Cushing was in quite a few of the Hammer movies wasn't he? Christopher Lee also.

Trek is done?

Towards the end of my sophomore year of high school, this girl I really liked asked me out to dinner, but when I got home and told my parents about my plans, they told me I couldn't go, because I was grounded due to low grades, or something like that. So I called the girl back, and asked her if could we postpone it until next weekend. She said sure, we hung up, and I never heard from her again.

A week later, I went over to her house, and her stepfather answered the door. He said she had gone to see some family, and wouldn't be back until the start of next school year. I waited impatiently until the next September, making sure to give enough time for her to get home. I finally went over to her house, and a woman I'd never seen before answered the door. She told me she'd just moved in a month ago. I was crushed.

Later on, I asked one of her teachers if she knew what had happened. Apparently, the girl's parents had physically abused her, and then put her up for adoption when they got tired of her. They just discarded her like a piece of ruined furniture, then moved away to cover the tracks. The teacher told me the girl would be turning 18 soon, so as a legal adult, she might be able to come back. She never did.

Nope, Zardoz. The last I heard of her was when I asked my teacher what had happened to her.
Then about a month later my Dad's job was outsourced to India
and we had to move halfway across the country so he could find work, and now I barely ever get to talk to even my best of friends any more, much less anyone else. Go figure.

Ah, well. That's life. And at least I've got you guys!
