I agree...Wesley is another character I never need to see again, but I don't think that's likely to happen.

I almost included Rand in my first post because in the show she was such an idiot of a character...what does she do? Serves meals and makes coffee....and what is the deal with the hair???

See my post on Rand, Eliza. She was designed to be a semi-love intrest for Kirk, basically a lust after object (not uncommon in 60's tv.)

Yeah, and I felt bad for the actress...by the way, from what I recall she was sexually assaulted by one of the NBC big wigs which lead to her leaving the show and developing a problem with drugs and alcohol.

It would be bitter irony if that story is true. Remember the episode "The Enemy Within" where Evil-Kirk sexually assaults Rand?

Zardoz, maybe that explains Mrs. Roddenberry a bit...I mentioned disliking her. I saw her speak at a convention and she was talking about their son and what a womanizer he was, even at the age of 15 (it was awhile ago!). She actually said "he keeps the local abortion clinics in business".....blech! I thought that was an appalling thing to say, especially for a parent (and, tying this to the other thread....didn't having the male and female parent in the house help?).
