Characters you really DO NOT want to see, but fear you will....
It seems only fair...we all have characters we have no interest in ever seeing again yet, those silly film makers just seem determined to annoy us...
I'll offer Chapel. I despise the character and see no reason she should be in any movie ever.

Oh, aside from TNG era Spock. He has to be in the movie

I hate her...I just do. While I later learned to dislike Mrs. Roddenberry, I have long hated the character of Nurse Chapel...she left a career as a researcher to search the stars for her love by joining Star Fleet...that's already stupid, then, when he turned out to be a robot, she transfered her love to the nearest thing to a robot she could find: Spock. She then acted like an idiot and a disgrace to females for generations....

Ah, I see, Eliza. Thanks for clarifying. I never payed that much attention to her character... which may well be part of the point you're making: she's a functionary in character, and not much else.

sir num nums...I thought I was clear...I hated the character of Chapel long before (by about 15 years) before I learned I also disliked Mrs. Roddenberry.

oh, I thought that is what you were saying. was not sure, because I never really understood the chapel character. lol, I never knew she was a robot. That is just bad writing.
So, I would have to agree, no Chapel in the new movie.
