A good send off for the TNG crew IMO. Has it been seven years already? Good Lord!

Poor Deanna. They really need to back off on the practical jokes toward her.

(during negotiations with a new race)
Picard: Psst, Number One....watch this.
Riker: (grinning) Oh, boy, I've seen THAT look before.
Picard: (clears throat) Counselor Troi, take the helm!

(Troi's dark brown eyes grow big as saucers, and look as cogent as deer in the headlights)

Troi: Aye, sir!

(Troi runs to the station and shoves the current helmsman out of the way. She immediately keys in a manuever. The Enterprise E starts moving menacingly toward the new alien ship on what appears to be a collision course. And when the ship gets close enough.)

Picard: Troi, they've surrendered! All stop!

(Troi still has the deer in the headlights look.)

Picard: Troi, that's an order, all stop!

Troi: Ramming speed, aye, sir!

Riker: Deanna, the captain was just yanking your chain! All stop now!

Troi: Collision in five....four....three...

Picard: Oh, sh**! All hands, brace for impact!!! And pre-emptively go to battlestations!

Troi: All stop, sir!

(Miraculously, the Enterprise has come to a complete halt, mere inches from the new alien ship's hull. Everyone on the bridge, the other ship, and throughout the Enterprise breathes a collective sigh of relief.)

Picard: (sighs heavilly) Well done, Counselor.

Troi: Now, the next time you two wish to pull something like that on me, make sure we have an actual emergency. The insurance company would've NEVER believed this.

(or better yet)

Star Trek '09.

(If the Enterprise E was in ST 09.)

Riker: Captain, the Narada has severely damaged this ship! Shields are at 2 percent, weapons are only just functional.

Picard: All hands, abandon ship. Counselor Troi, take the helm!

Troi: (deer in the headlights look) Aye, sir. (she runs to the helm station)

Picard: Program in a collision course!

Troi: Aye, sir! Collision course programmed!

Picard: (looking surreptitiously over to Riker and whispers) Let's get the hell out of here.

Riker: But what about Deanna?

Picard: She's the only one capable of piloting the Enterprise in and doing enough damage to the Narada so that the rest of us can escape and get on with our lives. It's a sad sacrifice, but it's one I'm willing to make.

Riker: (shrugs his shoulders) Fair enough.

(Silently, the bridge crew exeunts to escape pods.)

ENTERPRISE INT: Escape pods.

(Riker and Picard settle into an escape pod and strap in.)

Picard: Computer, launch all escape pods.

(A familiar voice sounds over the speakers)

COMPUTER? : All escape pod functions offline.

Picard: Computer?!

Riker: That sounded like.....

Troi's voice: If you think you're going to send me blindly to my death just so Riker can get his freak on with another Starfleet babe, you're fatally mistaken. If I'm going down, I'm taking all of you b**tards with me!

(and the rest is history)

There could even be a sequel for the new timeline -

Sulu: The Undiscovered Parking Brake!

Yeah man I'd been waiting all TNG to see Troi get raped. A+ filmmaking would read again
