I'd like to see the chess too, it would be a nice nod to the TOS. I actually was kind of surprised it wasn't in this film.

I don't want to use the word "improved".

That said, what I'd like to see is more character development.

And Klingons.

From a directorial standpoint, I understand why they were cut from the film.

That said, the deleted scenes looked like they were expensive. And fun! The look of the Klingons--or what little we saw of them, at least--intrigued me.

Someone else mentioned wanting to see more of the ship. I agree. Show me something new.

Please - nothing from 'Gamesters of Triskelion', that green wig is enough to frighten away anyone. Let alone shirtless Shat.

Please no more Klingons...for at least a few movies. They were in way too much of the first 7 movies.

I think I just want to see them out there in the vastness of space, in new regions and discovering new adventures.

Not really big on Klingons appearing, would like the chess board and rec room to show up, and instead of a 'villain' have a ship's discovery based problem that requires co-operation to solve etc

If Klingons must appear in the movie, I want an improvement on them. Make them total bad arses that are a credible threat instead of a one-note villain they've been in previous movies.

Less lens flare on the bridge.

More McCoy.

More Uhura, Sulu, and Chekov in action sequences.

More of the Enterprise's interiors.

More tricorder usage.

A redesigned and more cohesive engine room (smaller or part CGI if necessary).

How about a topless Pine, I guess that a part of the female audience would appreciate it. The other might demand a shirtless Quinto or Urban.

1) Kirk-Spock-McCoy partnership expanded.
2) Klingons, I'd especially like to see Kruge (TSFS) return as the main villian rather than Khan.
3) More Alt-Federation ships on screen.
4) Evenly-matched starship battles.
5) JJ still in the director's chair.

Other than that we should trust Alex and Robert to give us a good plot. I'm not TOO concerned if they do Khan again, or maybe even just hint at it. What we need is something still epic, but still initmate, spectacular with substance, and with an original plot that still has little nods to TOS.

Really?

I'm not familiar with all of the films.

I don't know if it's safe to admit that or not. LOL.

*ahem*

Assuming that one particular set of beings is used as the antagonists in the next film: If they don't use a tried-and-true humanoid race, then JJ et al will have to develop a new villainous race. And the execution will have to be seamless.
