There's little room for character development in JJ's style of movie. You get just enough characterisation/background to make the film work and that's it. You will never see lengthy scenes with a lot of character interaction as in the previous Trek movies.

Better thread-creation standards for the forum.

Otherwise, I'd like to see more of the Enterprise. Crew quarters, mess hall, sickbay, science labs, that sort of stuff. The things that got only glanced over because we were only just introduced to the ship in XI.

Also, I've gotten hooked onto the idea of a 'central control platform' being added to Engineering.

More technological advancements to influence the minds of future generations. Kinda like what the communicator done to our imagination in the 60's.

They should also make the special effects match the dialogue. I could swear I heard the Kelvin's engineer say that weapons were down, only for the Kelvin to fire its phasers in the next shot. That has to be even more annoying than the supernova which could threaten the whole galaxy, which at least can be forgiven on the basis of ignorance. Sloppiness is never forgiveable, not when you pay your hard-earned cash to go see something.

I would like to see the following in the sequel:

-Kirk's fighting skills improving
-The triangle of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy
-Kirk and Spock playing chess
-The briefing room, officers quarters, recreation deck, and a holodeck similar to
the one from the Animated Series.
-The friendship between Sulu and Chekov.
-More characters like Yeoman Rand and Nurse Chapel.
