Default R2D2 scene

so I slow tracked the movie to the scene and paused and asked my wife and her friend to find what was out of place. They stared at it for 10 minutes and couldnt figure it out.

Called my 6 year old son over and asked him the same question. He ran up to the TV and pointed and yelled...thats R2D2...he doesnt belong in Star Trek. Why are they trying to trick us

Gotta love my son

So when the heck is someone going to post a pic of this scene or a link to where it can be seen? I doubt anyone is going to receive discipline from a mod if they do

Thanks. I don't know why I always expect these easter eggs to be more obvious and in your face. You know..."Hide in plain site". While they may be in plain site, they are always so damn small, insignificant, and pass in the blink of an eye that I fail to see the point. I would never actually search for one these things. It would be a complete waste of time.

I didn't see it while watching the movie either, I had to seek it out on youtube.

You know what would be really funny!? If one of these days the studio "leaks" info about an easter egg... and nobody bothers to look and nobody posts it online!! That would be great!! It would sort of be like telling a joke and nobody laughs

I wonder if JJ has to pay Lucas for the use of R2D2

That would so darn funny if Lucas sued and got a payday out of it. Whether it was from the special effects company or the studio, I don't care. I bet that would put a stop to eater eggs

Wow - I thought that I had seen R2 in that sequence but missed this. There is a moment in that sequence when an R2 shaped object floats by the Enterprise - and I thought that was it. Will have to try to capture that image....
