See, now I love a long movie, as long as it's entertaining. (That's why I love to go see the Harry Potter movies.) I regret, I never saw the LotR trilogy on the big screen, and admittedly, the first time I tried to watch The Fellowship of the Ring, I was asleep in 20 minutes. But, years later, on a second viewing, I found the stories quite engaging.

Ever since ID4, Emmerich's movies have always been pretty long....on average, around 2 and a half hours.

As long as it's good popcorn fun, I love watching a 2 and a half hour movie on the big screen.

This is a big problem for me too. I don't like going over two hours TBH. It has to be something really interesting and 2012 doesn't look THAT interesting to me.

To be honest, that last half hour was kinda unrequired I felt and just started to drag a little.

That's the only real issue I found.

I would like to go and see it but the dizziness I am experiencing now would be pretty bad at a cinema, I would presume. It thought it was puke inducing enough watching the Enterprise go to warp in TMP on a regular widescreen TV.
