Some of them might!

But then Harry Potter seems to cross kids and adults of all ages and male/female whereas Twilight seems to be a solidly female centred fanbase.

I think that's because romance in HP is almost an aside from the plot, although there has been quite a bit of teenage angst going on. Also Harry started out as a pre-teen. HP is about the adventure, Twilight seems to be about the romance.
