Yeah, Berman stayed for 18 years - there's an argument he stayed too long.
I'm just saying don't expect him to stick around and churn out a new Trek film every two years. It won't happen.

I never assumed he would, beyond the first sequel at least. So thanks for the warning, but it's not required. I'm well aware (as I imagine most are) that eventually others will come in.

I think the Orion woman looked better on ENT!!! That's pretty sad. A 150 million doallar movie has Orion's with make-up jobs that look like they were done with the cheapest products at Wal-Mart!!

JJ will do a rehash of Khan and it will make tons of money. Most Trek fans will be saying it is the best thing to happen since milk met cereal... they'll hail it as the savior of Trek and the only reason "Trek" is still alive

That's exactly what just happened MRQ! ST09 was rehash of several past Trek films, ST:TMP, ST:TWOK, ST:TUC, ST:NEM mixed up with STAR WARS. There was some originality to it, like the origin story part, that's the ONLY "saving grace" of the film. Not Spock's appearance, nor the big-budgeted sets, Star Warsy aliens, nor the realisitic visual effects. Which I have to admit, were pretty awesome!

I agree. I can't put my finger on it, perhaps it is the red-green contrast, but the Orions in ENT and even in TOS (so it can't be due to the dark green) looked more natural IMO.
I wouldn't mind if they behaved at least like Orions. Why do aliens if they have no particular traits and behave like average humans?

Seems as if "green girls", among Romulans, Vulcans, Klingons and Khan 3.0 were on someone's "to do in Trek" checklist.

And Star Trek rehashing itself is in some way new? They've been there, done that already before Abrams set foot on his redesigned sets.
